Hi friends, let’s talk about the fast food industry today. Recent statistics show that people nowadays consume more fast food than in the past few years. Some people are saying that it is easy to prepare or some say that it is cheaper to buy, but do you have any Idea how it is affecting our health? It affects our physical and mental health in many ways. According to information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 45% of a family’s food budget goes toward consuming junk food. 

We know that in many ways there are little advantages people claim from consuming fast food but the grass ain’t greener on the other side. There are more disadvantages of eating junk food everyday. 

First let’s look at the better side of it. (Advantages)

  • It will give you an option of skipping an entire meal. So if you are running out of time and want’s skip your meal then just grab a Vada Pav.
  • It will save a lot of time of yours, because you can have it anywhere in your commute. Example – In Train, Bus or Cab.
  • You can expect the taste and quality of the food and you won’t be disappointed with it. Example – French Fries at Mcdonalds.
  • You won’t feel hungry right after eating a Vada Pav, so you are getting your work energy for the rest of a few hours.
  • Some restaurants do provide healthy fast food. Example – Grilled Chicken Sandwich or Chicken Subway with Salad.
  • You can customize your own meal at many fast food restaurants. They give a variety of items to choose from. 
  • Most fast food restaurants are providing their services at extremely affordable prices.
  • It also creates jobs for people by providing delivery services. Example – Zomato, Swiggy, UberEats etc.

You might have heard this saying, Everything comes with a price. There are so many disadvantages that will come after consuming junk food. Especially when it comes to our health. 80% of the fast food industry provides unhealthy food. If you consume your own meal at home then you can save almost 40% of your savings every month. 

So here let’s talk about the Disadvantages

  • Consumption of fast food affects our health in so many ways.
  • It impacts the cardiovascular and digestive systems.
  • You will consume more calories when you eat fast food frequently.
  • It can lead to issues with edema, bloating, and swelling.
  • Eating fast food everyday will lead to problems with obesity.
  • It also affects the nervous and reproductive systems.
  • It can change the appearance of your Skin, Hair and Nails.
  • It negatively affects our skeletal system over time.

There are many more advantages and disadvantages which we come to know with time like getting tired during jogging or working out in the gym.

The more the calories the more the fat in our body. So it is very important to keep the diet in loop and get advised by certified dieticians. Even the doctors always say to avoid eating food outside, because there is a side effect to our body on a long term basis. 

Maintain a balanced diet plan for consuming fast food and if you consume then make sure to burn the excess calories by running everyday or by working out at the Gym.
